Want to review for Journal Scout?

Reviewers will choose an article that 1) addresses an innovation or potential impact in health sciences education research or educational practice, 2)  was published in last 12 months, 3) is on a predetermined list of journals. A reviewer will submit a 250-500 word summary of his/her impressions of an article, lessons learned, and its implications on health sciences education. The emphasis of the review should be on the implications of the article rather than on its methodology.

Contact Ralph Gillies (rgillies@gru.edu) or Lori Bolgla (lbolgla@gru.edu) for specific instructions on reviewing for Journal Scout.

Journal Scout – Our Purpose

The purpose of Journal Scout is to provide busy health sciences faculty with brief education related reviews in order to raise faculty’s awareness of the latest innovations and findings in health sciences education and research that may impact their teaching or future research.

Journal Scout will be disseminated quarterly in a blog format via email and will include a set of reviewed articles (i.e., abstracts, citations, reviewer’ impressions).  On the blog, Journal Scout readers may post comments about the articles or the reviews as well as search for archived reviews.
